This kit uses 2 x 178W lightweight Flexible Solar Panels with TOPCon cells for higher efficiency.
Each 3.5 kg panel is flexible, easy to mount on balconies, fences, patios, sheds, or garden offices, making it an ideal solar kit for UK homes.
The kit is TUV certified, IEC61730 & IEC61215 compliant, Class C Flame Retardant.
This Solar Kit uses a G98 certified Micro Inverter with 10-year warranty.
The high-efficiency Hoymiles microinverter (96.7% peak, 99.8% MPPT) with built-in Wi-Fi and the S-Miles Cloud app lets you monitor your energy in real time from your phone.
We also include a Customised G98 Commissioning Pack (via email) as well as all necessary Electrical Schematic Diagrams.

– Installations are undertaken at the customer’s own risk. Plug In Solar Ltd accepts no liability for any loss, damage or injury resulting from the installation. The Installation manuals provided are to be used as a guide only, and your discretion must be used when installing a Plug In Solar Kit. Plug In Solar Ltd take no responsibility for the incorrect installation of our product. You MUST follow ALL local regulations and abide by ALL necessary health and safety codes. You MUST consult a professional in the appropriate field if you are in doubt about any aspect of the installation.
– The supplied cable must NOT be extended, shortened or modified
– The factory-fitted AC plug must not be removed or replaced.
– Extension leads, cable reels, adaptors and multi-way socket outlets must NOT be used.
– You may require planning permission for your Solar installation. It is your responsibility to check. If you are in any doubt, contact your local planning department or visit the Online Planning Portal for further advice.
– You may need to seek permission first from your landlord before installing Plug-In Solar. This is your responsibility.
– Under G98 regulations, you must Commission your Plug In Solar Installation with your Distribution Network Operator (DNO) with 28 days of completion of the installation. You can find out who your DNO is, and their contact details here: Who is My DNO
– It is your responsibility to ensure that the property’s electricity supply is suitable for the connection of the additional demand and generation of the system being installed. You MUST consult a professional in the appropriate field if you are in doubt about this.
– Connecting Solar Panels with a higher wattage rating than the Micro-Inverter they are connected to is common practice in the UK and is known as the DC:AC Ratio. In the UK solar panels rarely produce power at the rated output due to sun angle, time of year, as well as environmental, electrical, cabling, soiling and thermal losses (around 15% in total). As such our kits have been designed with a moderate DC:AC ratio so the system will produce energy earlier in the day, later into the evenings, and perform better on cloudy days. This means more energy is produced at these times, which is beneficial in the UK climate.
*Free UK Delivery excludes Isle of Man, Channel Islands, Isle of Wight, Isles of Scilly, Northern Ireland, the Scottish Highlands, and Scottish Islands. Please ask for a quotation for delivery to these areas. For orders that require a delivery vehicle smaller than an HGV, additional delivery charges will apply. Please ask us for a quotation.
**The 10 Year Warranty applies to the Solar Panels . The Micro-Inverters are covered by a 12 year warranty.
