Plug In Solar – VAT Information

From the 1st April 2022 there was a VAT reduction on installed Solar Panels and Battery Storage Systems down from 5% to 0% VAT.

 

The VAT drop is not something that affects us as a retailer, or you as a customer of ours, as we are Supply Only.

 

The VAT is on the cost of the installation of Solar panels and Battery Storage Systems, not the supply. The key word in the literature is ‘installed’.

 

Not all products or installations qualify for the reduced 0% rate and you cannot buy or install them yourself. You can see more information on the information related to Solar Panels on the Government Website related to this.
