Plug In Solar runs first Beta Test of Enphase IQ9N Micro-Inverters

Plug In Solar are proud to have be selected by Enphase to run the first UK Beta Test of the new Enphase IQ9N Micro-Inverters.

This was in partnership with Solec Renewables who undertook the installation.

The installation was 7 x Eurener 500W Bi-Facial Solar Panels, installed on South and West Facing Roofs, in a UK (South East) Location.

The Enphase IQ9N Micro-Inverters have an output of 427W and are designed to match the latest generation high-output PV Solar Panels.

The Enphase IQ9N Microinverters have the highest energy production and reliability standards in the industry, with more than 1 million power-on hours of testing.

The Enphase IQ9N Microinverters also have patented Burst Mode technology which provides increased energy production along with low-voltage DC and rapid shutdown for ultimate fire safety.

The system was commissioned on Tuesday 16th September 2025, and the system will be monitored and feedback gleaned for Enphase to improve system information and performance.

The installation was also teamed with an Enphase 5P 5kWh Battery and the Enphase IQ System Controller 3 INT, to enable Whole House Backup in the event of a power outage.
