Feed In Tariff Rate Drops Again
As of the 1st July 2015, the Feed in Tariff (FiTs) will again drop further to just 12.92p/kWh, making Plug In Solar an even more attractive proposition to the consumer, as the rate is only set to continue dropping in the future.
When the Feed In Tariff scheme was first introduced back in 2010 the level for solar PV was up at 43.3p/kWh. Now it is just 13.39p for a 4 kilowatts peak (kWp) system (or smaller), but from 1 July it will drop again to 12.92p/kWh . This is the highest rate you can achieve and is still based on having an Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) which is banded D or better.
Remember with Plug In Solar you DO NOT need an EPC Certificate and are not affected by the Feed In Tariff, meaning your Return on Investment times are greatly enhanced.
